At the beginning of August, Nissan brought its all electric LEAF to Seattle to give reservation holders a test drive in a near-production model.  With just a few minor tweaks left to do, this will be like driving the real thing when it debuts in December.  The handling and acceleration were even better than when I test drove the pre-production version back in December of last year.

The Dreamliner has landed safely and successfully at Boeing field.  The plane is currently parked and going under a visual inspection for any damage that has occurred during the three hour flight.  After it is complete, a post flight press conference will happen here (click on "webcast" above the center square).

The 787 will be replacing the 767 line and has a whole host of new passenger focused features such as:

-a taller fuselage with less curvature along the wall for the window seat passengers.

-larger windows for better viewing without having to stoop or crane one's neck.

-more air cleaning equipment for better indoor air quality.

Although a couple of years behind schedule, the first flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is officially underway.  Just after 10 AM Pacific time, the new plane took off from Paine airfield in Everett, Washington for its maiden 5.5 hour voyage from Everett, south and east to Moses Lake and other parts of Eastern Washington and then back to South Seattle where it will land at Boeing field.

The webcast is currently stopped, but should start again around 2:20 or 2:40 PM Pacific time to record the landing.
