Seattle's Light Rail Now Goes to Airport

E-mail Print

On Saturday morning, December 19th at 10AM, the Sea-Tac Airport Light Rail station will officially open for business and I plan to be one of the first riders on it.  Unfortunately, I can't say that I am jetting off to a sunny destination, just going for a ride, there and back again.

The 15 mile ride from Westlake Center in downtown Seattle to the airport will cost $2.50 and is supposed to take around 38 minutes.  Here is a map of the stations between Sea-Tac and Westlake and here is a pdf of the new schedule.  It looks like there will be a train every 7 - 10 minutes during peak times and then every 15-20 minutes during off-peak.

On Saturday I will bring my video camera along and some cookies to share if anyone would like to say a few words about their experience of the light rail and have a really tasty Peppermint Joe's O.

Video Will Go Here on Saturday! Check back Saturday Evening.
