FOOD (Energy for your Body)

  • Get a pitcher style water filter (like a Brita water-filter) or an in-sink filter rather than stocking up on bottled water (hey, some of that stuff is tap water anyway). Plus, the filters will keep many of the important minerals and nutrients that your body needs in the water.
  • Buy locally produced foods. Transporting food thousands of miles (even the organic stuff) is energy intense and does more environmental harm than good. Check out Local Harvest for sources of local produce, meat, poultry and dairy products near you.
